The current demand for affordable housing is high, while the available inventory of homes is low.   In the 2025 US housing market, projections  expect to see rising inventory, but not dramatically.  While inventory may increase, it's still expected to remain below pre-pandemic levels in many areas, and the market is likely to remain a seller's market in some regions.  Many families continue to face the challenges of securing a home for their family.  Bidding wars on available homes often pushes the dream of home ownership out of reach.  Yellow Jasmine is dedicated to the pursuit of our mission to provide affordable housing by doing what we can to increase the available inventory by rehabbing/upgrading existing homes, recovery/reintroduction of abandoned homes, and introduction of new construction homes.    

Yellow Jasmine became an LLC in 2012, but our venture into real estate investing began in 1998 when we started purchasing and holding rental properties.  After selling out of our rentals in 2006, we sat on the sidelines until 2011.  In 2012 we formed Yellow Jasmine as we began purchasing mortgage notes as the economy recovered from the housing market crash.  This note inventory led to rehabbing properties, which led to an expanded network of skilled labor contractors, which has now expanded our capabilities into new construction.

Good leads for real estate investing come from neglected properties, vacant properties, inherited properties, landlords who are tired of being landlords, people who try to become rehabbers but get in over their head, foreclosures, realtors when they know they list a property that will not sell to a homeowner,  wholesalers, and bird dogs.
